Capturing the warmth and passion of the French Chanson, and fusing it with contemporary pop, folk and rock influences, Katie Buckhaven has a totally unique and free style that has captivated audiences across the UK and Europe. She honed her natural talent playing in bars, cafes and festivals, delighting audiences throughout France, Spain and Germany.  Now based firmly back in the UK, Katie introduces those vivid, evocative images into every song and every live performance that she gives.

Katie’s voice distils the melancholic heartbreak reminiscent of Karen Carpenter, Sandy Denny and Dusty Springfield. She counts Sir Michael Parkinson amongst her fans, becoming the first unsigned artist to be played on his Radio 2 show.  She has also been championed on air by Desmond Carrington, Mariella Frostrup and the Radio 2 Arts Show

Having released two studio albums, Katie Buckhaven (**** The Guardian) and The Girl In The White Dress, plus an EP Forever Can Wait – The Big Untidy EP, Katie has turned her attention to compiling an EP featuring her live work during the summer of 2013.  The Undiscovered Katie Buckhaven features live concert recordings and studio sessions together with some previously seldom-heard gems now receiving long-overdue attention.

Katie is also currently back in the studio for work on a brand new album of back-to-basic acoustic tracks which will showcase the essential Katie Buckhaven; her haunting, captivating voice and compelling melodies.  This is scheduled for release in 2015.
